Welcome to RSL Tanunda Sub-Branch.
Throughout history, members of the Australian Defence Force have answered the call to serve in over 85 world conflicts and peace-keeping missions, from the Boer War in the late 1800s to today’s ongoing international operations. Many of these brave men and women continue to serve in active and peacekeeping roles, and we honour their sacrifices by fostering friendships, providing assistance, and standing by them in times of need.
Our home, The Hut, located at Tanunda Recreation Park (18 Bilyara Road, Tanunda), is more than just a place—it’s a community. All visitors are most welcome to join us in commemorating the past, supporting the present, and shaping the future of veteran care. Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or someone passionate about honouring service and sacrifice, we invite you to connect with us.
Inside The Hut, we have a large collection of military memorabilia, honour boards, photographs of many of those who served, badges, and other items of interest including a bookshelf full of military history books.
There are many items of memorabilia that can be purchased such as pens, mugs, badges (example at left), stubby holders, water bottles etc, that are part of our fundraising efforts.
Our well-equipped kitchen enables us to provide meals on special occasions and for our regular Friday evening Happy Hours. Our bar has a range of beverages to cover most tastes and prices are reasonable.
The Hut is equipped with an overhead projector and screen, a 'smart' television set, and of course numerous collapsible tables and chairs.
Plenty of parking is available within the area and the building is accessible to persons using mobility scooters or associated equipment. It's also airconditioned and has a wood-fired heater for the really cold weather.
Several organisations use our Hut to hold their regular meetings or ad hoc training and information events for small donations. If you'd like to hold an event at our Hut, please contact us for further information and we can arrange a visit.
